Chief Legal Officer

As Chief Legal Officer at ImageCare Radiology and The Medical Group of New Jersey, Padma leads legal strategy and risk management for a multi-entity healthcare organization. Her responsibilities include:

• Providing legal counsel to senior management on a broad range of legal matters affecting the company and its affiliates
• Managing outside counsel on transactional and litigation matters
• Managing and minimizing legal risk by identifying potential areas of weakness and developing corporate policies
• Overseeing HIPAA compliance and corporate governance issues
• Developing and disseminating policies on all legal aspects involving the company's operations
• Drafting internal corporate governance documents and maintaining corporate books and records
• Negotiating provider and payor agreements, employment agreements, leases, and vendor contracts
• Guiding management through legal issues faced in day-to-day operations
• Responding to legal inquiries from regulators, payors, vendors, contractors, and patients
• Drafting, reviewing, filing, and updating state and federal corporate filings

Litigation credibility

Padma was born in India and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She attended Truman State University on a full scholarship, graduating with a degree in Political Science in 1995, and earned her JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 1998.

With over sixteen years of experience as a commercial litigator, she has handled complex commercial and business litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida, resolving disputes through litigation, mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings. Her concentrations include real estate and banking litigation, commercial bankruptcy, business torts, construction defect, products liability, and class action defense.
